Thougtfully positioned street trees

Position and choice of street tree to suit the location

A basic layout design is a line of street trees. Even within this simple theme designs can vary so that the species and position of the trees relate visually to adjacent buildings. An example is a line of silver birch trees such as those seen in Kensington. Their white barks work well with white painted stucco. Trees are often planted along a street almost at random.

Total co-ordinated greenery

But with some thought they can be positioned to be part of a co-ordinated design related to adjacent buildings, as green walls or on the buildings themselves.
